My House in KAUST – 1 Bed Townhouse

As promised here, I have managed to get my hands on some floor plans for all the different houses here at KAUST. I will do a different blog post for each one so I hope its useful! Worth noting that you will be allocated your house depending on the size of your family – you cannot request a larger/smaller house until you have been here for a year, and then you can start a bidding process to move, if that is what you want to do.

This house is a one bed townhouse and would be for a single person, if you chose to not go into the free shared accomodation.

  1. Great blog! Thank you for all the information. It’s funny though since I’m a Saudi and from Jeddah. I have been to KAUST a couple of times before and I’m really excited to move there this summer after finishing with my studies here in the US.
I wanted to ask if you have any info about the 1BR apartments, and the pet policy? I’m planning to adopt a kitten!

    1. Hey, thank you so much 😊 it’s a great place here so you’ll really enjoy studying here. Pets are fine, you are allowed a maximum of two so a kitten will be no problem. There are many stray/abandoned cats here so you will have to register your cat, make sure it is microchipped and I would always advise neutering to avoid creating any more baby cats! What specific information do you want on the apartments and I will see what I can find 🙂
